Yesterday was our monthly Foodways program and we had so much fun. With so many volunteers turning up to lend a hand we were able to divide our efforts and accomplish much! Janet and Christie Anne, abley assisted by the young people, prepared a great meal of smoked sausage, sauerkraut, potatoes and lettuce salad. Guests were able to learn how welcome fresh greens would be after a long winter of dried, smoked and otherwise preserved foods. For an afternoon treat, the ladies prepared "Bread and Butter Pudding". YUM!!!
Helena, Charmaine and I were able to spend several profitable hours stitching on the quilt that we'll are raffling for this fall. It is coming together beautifully. Don't forget we could really use your help selling raffle tickets! Finally, the children were wonderful helpers all around. It is such fun to watch them include visiting children in their games and playtimes.
Good job everyone!
Stacey
