The Cast of Characters

Many, many thanks to each of you who contributed to the Sunday School Fair whether it was working the phones for donations, filling your car with all those great pies, stitching and baking items to sell, spreading the word via the internet or helping plan and run booths at the fair.   This event would not have happened without you and you are much appreciated.

The day of the fair was wonderful with great weather and a good number of visitors.  The pie auction was the best attended one to date.  Even the little ones got into the act.  Audrey and Felipe added a new attraction to this year's fair by offering to do a short show for guests willing to pay a nickel.  Of course inflation hit in the later afternoon and prices rose to $0.10 per person.  One of our best laughs came when the original producers of the show abandoned it for a game of baseball and little Anna approached some new guests with the greeting, "You got me a dollar, I'll do you a show."  The dollar was given and Anna delighted her audience with a dance and a sing-along version of "Jesus Loves Me."

Our proceeds from the fair totalled $360.00.  After reimbursing for the expenses of the fair your donation was $255.00!
