For those participating in the ceremonies there were many memorable moments but this picture of Cadet Rat Shutt, calling his father who is currently stationed in Iraq is probably one of the most poignant.
General Bob Green, Deputy Superintendent for Finance, Administration & Support, sent this message to the Battlefield staff and volunteers:
"Thank you again for all you and your staff did to make the event on Sunday maybe the best ever! Please let everyone know just how much their efforts were recognized and appreciated. THANKS! Bob"
From my point of view, this was the best Rat Day I have participated in. You were an amazing crew!!! And kudos to you! The volunteer-hosted North Parlor was apparently the place to be.
Cliff Crittsinger, class of '64, shared this with Scott regarding their visit and luncheon on Friday:
"He and his classmates had a wonderful time during their tour on Friday. They were very impressed with both the Park and especially the staff and volunteers. It made for a really memorable experience."
Many thanks to those who helped out.
You are a grand bunch and a blessing to so many,
Stacey
